Bridal Shower

This past Saturday I had my bridal shower, and I had so much fun catching up with family and friends! Everything went great! With the exception of the cake, which by the end of the morning I believe the hostesses settled on the third cake from a local bakery. I guess the first two were pretty awful! I was wondering all morning where the cake was (I was excited to see it), and I guess the hostesses only put it out on the table after I sat down to start opening gifts, ha! I did see a photo after, though, and it really wasn't that bad. They did a great job hostessing.

Aside from that, I feel like I got a little taste of the hustle and bustle of the wedding day! It's a job to make sure you visit with every one of your guests. Unfortunately, I didn't get too many photos capturing the day - I attempted to set up my tripod but after the card showed "full' almost immediately after the shower started, I gave up. I was too busy to mess around with the camera. :( Kinda a bummer. Here's one (i-phone) photo that I like, though, with some of my VIG's. Very Important Guests. Duh. :)

Although I got a lot of really great appliances, bathroom accessories and decor - this duvet cover is definitely in the running for favorite gift of the day. I love this bed-set.

Next weekend my Maid of Honor is hosting a "DIY Day" for me - this is in place of a bachelorette party since I'm just not wild enough for one of those. ;) So, we're going to make a DIY headboard and silver leaf my parent's old nightstands.
