I read a few days ago that it hadn't actually snowed here in Tulsa in two years. I can't recall if that's right or not but this is what we woke up to yesterday. Couldn't help but to run out in my jammies and grab a few shots. It was just so dreamy! Really the best kind of day to call in sick, watch daytime tv and drink hot coffee. Alas, I got all bundled up and went into work.

My little kitty cat Elvis had to take a pricy trip to the vet yesterday as well. Poor guy has an ulcer on his left eye. The vet was concerned after weighing him because he has lost quite a bit of weight. They did bloodwork and said it came back perfectly. So, now he's getting special treatment and gets to sleep with me and Smokey. The fiance and I are still living with his parents while we go through the process of purchasing a home, and Elvis spends a lot of his time in the garage. I think he might be a little depressed. He's got me feelin' sorry for him.

As the wedding comes closer and closer (only a bit over a month away now!), I beat myself up over how much needs to be done. I have a list as tall as the sky and every time I cross something off something else comes up. The worst part is over - I've paid all my vendors and maintained my savings. That was one of the most stressful parts for me. My parents filed bankruptcy at one point and it was a pretty painful experience. My dad designed and built our home and by the end of it we had banks posting "no trespassing" signs on our front door while we were still living there. I guess I have that syndrome now similar to that of kids who grew up during the depression. I hoard money. ;)

Now it's just little things.. purchasing ribbon for my ceremony backdrop, pens, finalizing designs for the guestbook and programs, buying toasting glasses, doing my hair and makeup trial, putting together a timeline, creating place-cards for the head table and.. I could go on. :) This bride-to-be could use any advice or reminders she can get! I know I will miss this when it's over.
